  11. I'm busy going through a book and studying C++. But I'm befuddled by the 
  12. concept of templates. I understand classes and how they function, but I do 
  13. not understand WHY there are templates and what one would use them for. 
  14. Could someone please give me the rationale behind it all? Perhaps I'm being 
  15. confused by the syntax too for templates seem very similar to classes - but 
  16. weird!
